Bean Seasoning by Steph

Our friend and (almost) famous food critic Marci Girardin gave us this recipe for Bean seasoning. To welcome us to the ward we arranged dinner at our house. She cooked her famous burritoes and brought them and the other ingredients steaming hot to our house. Our two families ate and enjoyed dinner. You cant get any better than that.

We use this bean recipe as part of our "chipotle" dinner bar. Beans, rice(look for "chipotle rice recipe coming soon) tortillas, pico, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, sauteed onions and peppers.

This recipe is done by proportions. So use any unit of measure you choose, a capful or a cupful, etc...

7 salt
5 chili powder
3 cumin
2 garlic powder
2 black pepper
Mix well. store in air tight container.

Use 2 Tablespoons of this mixure for 1 pound of dried beans.
